我们的党向来是重视新闻工作的。一张省报对于我们的工作和对于全省人民来说,正如毛泽东同志指出的“有极大的组织、鼓舞、激励、批判、推动的作用”。因此,我们在解放贵州的同时,就立即创办了自己的机关报。几年来,贵州日报(1956年以前是新黔日报)在协助党委指导工作,宣传党的政策、路线、组织、鼓舞人民群众勇敢地向社会主义迈进等方面,发挥了应有的作用。同时,我们体会到,要办好自己的机关报,重要的是在于党委密切关注报纸工作,从政治上思想上加强对于它的领导。党委对于报纸的领导,我们认为主要的是,关心报纸的言论和报道方针。在言论工作上,要及时给作报纸工作的同志出题目,提供重要言论的要点,使执笔的同志有所遵循。我们省委书记
Our party has always attached importance to journalism. For our work and for the people of the entire province, a provincial newspaper, as pointed out by Comrade Mao Zedong, “has a tremendous role of organizing, inspiring, motivating, criticizing and promoting.” Therefore, at the same time as we were liberating Guizhou, we immediately opened our own organ newspaper. In recent years, Guizhou Daily (the Xin Qian Daily before 1956) has played its due role in assisting Party committees in guiding their work, in propagating the party’s policies, lines, organizations, and in encouraging the people to bravely advance to socialism. At the same time, we understand that it is important for party committees to pay close attention to the newspaper work and to strengthen their leadership over politics from the perspective of handling their own organ papers. The party committees’ leadership over the newspapers, we think the most important thing is that they are concerned with the newspaper’s remarks and reporting guidelines. In our speech work, we should promptly give questions to the comrades who work for the newspaper, provide the key points for the important remarks and follow the comrades who have written them.
