2008年第1季度银行间外汇市场交易活跃,交易量大幅增长。人民币外汇远期交易量同比增长45.67%,人民币外汇掉期交易量同比增长86.35%,外币对交易量同比下降27.52%,外币拆借交易量同比增长223.48%。人民币兑美元和港元继续保持升值趋势,兑日元贬值,兑欧元贬值,兑英镑升值。与2007年第4季度末中间价相比,1季度末人民币兑美元汇率中间价累计升值4.07%①。与2005年7月21日汇改当日中间价相比,1季度末人民币兑美元汇率中间价升值17.92%。
In the first quarter of 2008, the inter-bank foreign exchange market was very active with a substantial increase in transaction volume. The forward exchange rate of RMB foreign exchange increased by 45.67% over the same period of last year. The transaction volume of RMB foreign exchange swaps increased by 86.35% over the same period of the previous year. The transaction volume of foreign currency decreased by 27.52% from the same period of last year. The transaction volume of foreign currency borrowings increased by 223.48% over the same period of last year. The renminbi continued its upward trend against the U.S. dollar and the Hong Kong dollar, depreciating against the Japanese Yen, depreciating against the Euro and against the British Pound. Compared with the middle of the fourth quarter of 2007, the central parity rate of RMB against the U.S. dollar appreciated by 4.07% at the end of the first quarter of the year. Compared with the middle price of the day of exchange reform on July 21, 2005, the middle price of RMB exchange rate against the US dollar appreciated by 17.92% at the end of the first quarter.
