金陵大学农学院,农艺系作物育种组,自民国十六年起,即着手小麦选种试验,藉以改良品种,所用方法为单穗;以南京26号小麦为标准品种,试验结果,於四千五百二十九品种中以2905号小麦得选,此小麦不仅产量甚高,且易早熟,嗣後经七年之试验结果,其产量超过标准品种(南京26号)者百分之二十五;超过普通农家品种者百分之三十二,故从民国廿三年起标准品种即改用2905号小麦,今本文即就2905号小麦,专论其与气候之关系。
