2006年10月25～30日,由湖南省民族事务委员会、湖南省体育局主办,张家界市人民政府承办的湖南省第六届少数民族传统体育运动会开幕式在风景秀美的张家界市隆重开幕。张家界市市委副书记、市长胡伯俊主持了本次开幕式。湖南省副省长许云昭、省政府副秘书长姜儒振、张家界市市委书记刘力伟等出席了开幕式。全省14个市、州和17个民族自治县分别组团参赛。共有运动员、教练员及裁判员1000多名。本届湖南省民运会的比赛设竞赛项目高脚、射弩、秋千、陀螺、蹴球、押加、板鞋竞速和表演项目竞技类、技巧类、健身操类和综合类。这些项目中既有湖南省各少数民族的传统体育项目,又添加了一些新的项目。本届民运会本着“平等、团结、和谐、拼搏、奋进”的宗旨,大会倡导大力弘扬民族传统文化,以增进各民族的团结和友谊。
From October 25 to October 30, 2006, the opening ceremony of the 6th National Minority Traditional Sports Games in Hunan Province hosted by Hunan Ethnic Affairs Commission, Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and Zhangjiajie Municipal People’s Government was grandly opened in the beautiful city of Zhangjiajie. Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee, mayor Hu Bojun presided over the opening ceremony. Xu Yunzhao, vice governor of Hunan Province, Jiang Ruzhen, deputy secretary general of the provincial government, and Liu Liwei, secretary of the Party Committee of Zhangjiajie City attended the opening ceremony. Fourteen cities, prefectures and 17 national autonomous counties in the province each took part in the competition. A total of more than 1,000 athletes, coaches and referees. The current session of the Hunan Provincial People’s Games set the contest competitions high kick, crossbow, swing, top, shuttlecock, charge, plate shoes racing and performance of competitive sports class, skill class, aerobics class and comprehensive class. In these projects, there are both traditional sports projects of ethnic minorities in Hunan Province and some new projects added. The National Games will be based on the principle of “equality, unity, harmony, hard work and progress”. The congress advocates energetically promoting traditional ethnic cultures and promoting unity and friendship among all ethnic groups.
