市内电话通信从十九世纪末叶开始以来,随着自动交换机的广泛采用,已经成为人们日常工作和生活所不可缺少的最迅速的通信工具.由于市内电话的特点是网路庞大、设备复杂、单元之间的关系特别密切,而且使用年限长达数十年,因而技术上的革新没有其他通信技术发展得快.虽然如此,二次大战以来,市内电话通信技术也取得了较快的进展.现就笔者见闻所及作一个简短的介绍.
