The experimental results of electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) and ion cyclotron resonance heating (ICRH) in the MM-2 and its modification MM-2U are given. In the experiment of electron cyclotron resonance heating, a thermionic ring with a thermionic temperature of 140 ~ 170 keV was established by using a microwave source with a frequency of 15 GHz and a power of about 30 kW.
