为实现辽西北的重大突破,辽宁省决定从大规模造林绿化开始。至2009年底,辽宁省包括辽西北已完成人工造林作业面积446.8万亩,是计划的1.47倍,完成封山育林310.5万亩,飞播造林38.4万亩,全民义务植树9443.4万株。在全面完成退耕还林、三北防护林、沿海防护林等国家重点生态工程建设任务中,辽西北边界防护林体系建设工程已完成100万亩,现处于收尾阶段;辽西北荒山绿化完成造林绿化337.8万亩。
In order to achieve a major breakthrough in northwestern Liaoning, Liaoning Province decided to begin with large-scale afforestation.
