In the past five years, India’s mango exports to the United States decreased, but the number of contracts recovered in 2012. Sales growth rate of 118%, sales increased to 208t. In 2011 only exported 95t. Due to prolonged winter months, India’s mango export season was postponed for a month, with producers in some regions negotiating the export of their products. According to India’s Agriculture and Processed Food Export Development Authority, India’s mango exports to the United States began on April 25, 2012.
