血红素加氧酶(HO)是体内氧化降解血红素的限速酶,共有三种同工酶,每一种同工酶其组织分布及调节存在明显差异。HO调节细胞内血红素和血红蛋白的水平,而且血红素的三种降解产物均具有生物活性;HO在衰老、脑血管疾病、神经变性疾病等生理和病理过程中发挥着重要作用[1],有效的调控其表达有可能成为预防和治疗相关疾病的新策略。
Heme oxygenase (HO) is a rate-limiting enzyme for the oxidative degradation of heme in vivo. There are three isoenzymes, and the distribution and regulation of each isoenzyme are obviously different. HO regulates the level of heme and hemoglobin in cells, and the three degradation products of heme are bioactive; HO plays an important role in the physiological and pathological processes such as aging, cerebrovascular diseases and neurodegenerative diseases [1], and is effective The regulation of its expression may become a new strategy for the prevention and treatment of diseases.
