Free talk(自由交谈)是小学英语课堂教学预热环节中一种常见的教学方式,指的是在课堂内容正式开始之前师生或学生之间用英语进行的自由交谈,一般有3~5分钟的时间,能够为即将进行的教学做好铺垫。在Free talk中进行真实、连贯的对话,有利于学生思维能力、语用能力等方面的发展。然而,现在很多教师进行的Free talk只是师生简单的一问一答,Free talk有时候是不真实、不连贯的对话,不能真正体现语言学习的特点,不利于学生语言运用能力的发展。
Free talk is a common teaching method in pre-heating teaching of primary English classrooms. It refers to the free conversation between teachers and students or students in English before the formal beginning of the classroom content, usually 3 to 5 minutes Of the time, can pave the way for the upcoming teaching. It can not truly reflect the characteristics of language learning and is not conducive to the development of students’ ability to use language.
