样式房是清代皇家建筑的设计机构。此机构遗存至今的设计图纸有两万多张,于2007年被联合国教科文组织列入“世界记忆遗产名录”。两万多张图纸中,有两千多张是关于圆明园的。这些图纸,对于今天了解圆明园的发展、变化有着无与伦比的重要价值。《圆明园的“记忆遗产”——样式房图档》通过对圆明园遗存图纸的研究注释,结合文献史料与图纸的相互释义,并配上现代学者模拟还原的复原图,向读者展示了一个真实的、历史的圆明园景观。同时结合造园史、建筑史从宏观视角整体解读图样,具有较高的学术价值。
