德国科学家们开发了太阳能海水淡化方法,可解决第三世界沿海干旱地区的饮水问题。其工艺为:海水流入衬有黑色薄膜的容器中,容器上覆以透明的箔幕,通过日光加温使水变为蒸汽,接着再在幕内凝结成水,并流入槽内。之后,添加矿物质。5平方码(4.18m~2)的幕每天可生产约5加仑(0.02m~3)饮水。据称这是迄今最便宜的淡化工艺。
German scientists have developed solar desalination methods that can solve drinking water problems in coastal arid regions of the Third World. The process is as follows: Seawater flows into a container lined with a black film, and the container is covered with a transparent foil curtain. The water is heated by sunlight to turn the water into steam, which is then condensed into water in the curtain and flows into the tank. After that, add minerals. A 5 square yard (4.18m~2) curtain can produce about 5 gallons (0.02m~3) of drinking water per day. This is allegedly the cheapest dilute process to date.
