1979年浙江省青年演员“小百花”会演时,18岁的陈丽炯在《庵堂认母》中饰演徐元宰一角,虽说只演后半场戏(前半场由其老师扮演),但却以其年轻的风采,俊美的扮相以及甜柔的尹派唱腔,引起观众的注目,并荣获了表演三等奖。但是这一小小的成功,并未能使她的艺术道路就此一马平川,相反,由于各种复杂的原因,刚崭露头角的她却被迫离开了剧团,中断了她所热爱的演员事业。这期间,她在工厂当过统计员,做过营业员。
