由三局主持召开的小口径钻探经验交流会议于1979年10月9日至18日在山东省青岛市召开。与会代表共107人。会议交流经验材料三十五篇。这次会议是在党中央“调整、改革、整顿、提高”方针指导下,以发展、提高小口径钻探技术水平为主题,重点交流了组织领导与生产技术管理,提高钻头进尺、护壁堵漏工艺以及技术配套、设备仪表改造等方面的经验。同时举办了小型展览会。
