当代外语教学在不断发展的同时,多媒体技术作为一崭新技术出现并使用在外语教学过程中。多媒体技术本身具有的特点使其在今天的外语教学领域中占有不可被替代的位置,发挥着巨大作用,优势日趋明显。实践表明,运用多媒体进行英语教学可使教学内容化远为近、化虚为实、化静为动、化抽象为具体、化宏观为微观,使英语教学从单一的模式向直观性、趣味性、艺术性和立体化模式发展。信息技术带来的教育新技术的广泛应用,随之带来教学方法、教学过程、教学资料等许多变化,自然也会改进教学效果。
