Objective: To explore the feasibility of establishing an aneurysm of lateral wall by anastomosing one external jugular vein with bilateral common carotid artery. Materials and Methods: Ten dogs were treated with microsurgical technique for external jugular and common carotid artery anastomosis. Angiography was performed to confirm the existence of tumor cavity and the patency of the parent artery. Results: Ten dogs were successfully established carotid artery aneurysms, of which 8 cases were wide-necked aneurysms. Conclusion: It is practicable to establish bilateral common carotid artery aneurysms, especially wide-necked aneurysms, by using an anternal canine external jugular vein and bilateral aortic common anastomosis.
