古月,原名胡诗学,1939年出生于湖北汉口,1949年参军,曾为昆明军区文化干部。1976年,伟人毛泽东溘然长逝。人民缅怀毛泽东,热切地期盼着银幕上再现毛泽东的形象。由于长相与毛泽东主席十分相似,古月被国家军委副主席叶剑英亲自圈定,成为扮演毛泽东的特型演员。27年间,古月相继在87部影视作品中扮演不同历史时期的毛泽东形象,作为中国最形似毛泽东的特型演员,他曾说过这么一句
