《北里志》记载了中和以前长安城平康里的歌妓生活,是后人了解唐代青楼及娼妓的重要的历史资料。此书开后世《青楼集》、《板桥杂记》等描写青楼类作品之先河。此书虽是一部笔记小说,但人们可以从中管窥唐时长安士子生活的某些情状,并了解诗歌创作及传播的某些方式。与此同时,唐末社会环境、风俗习惯等也在《北里志》中有着诸多真实的记载。
“North Lizhi” records the life of geisha in Pingkangli of Chang’an City before it was neutralized, and is an important historical data for future generations to understand the brothel and prostitutes of the Tang Dynasty. This book opens in the future “brothel set”, “Itabashi miscellany” and other description of brothels works of precedent. Although this book is a note-taking novel, one can gain some insight into certain aspects of the life of the Chang’an scholar in the Tang Dynasty and learn some ways of writing and disseminating poetry. At the same time, the social environment, customs and habits in the late Tang Dynasty also have many true records in “North Lishi”.
