硅作为信息载体在当今世界的信息革命中起着重要作用。硅的质量和硅的成本对集成电路生产有极大影响。因此,有必要在提高硅质量的同时降低硅生产的成本。成本分析表明,多晶成本对于硅材料的成本来说是很重要的。多晶硅成本取决于生产规模,还原炉的结构以及对还原炉排除物的综合利用的程度。影响单晶成本的部分因素是单晶炉的性能和单晶炉的装料量。单晶的直径与器件工艺关系密切。大直径的效益要联系器件的效益统一考虑。文中分析了器件对单晶直径的要求。作者认为,大力支持包括硅材料在内的固态电子工业,发展联合企业,加强硅的新工艺的研究是今后硅工业发展的重要途径。
