在最近的首都舞台上,中央实验话剧院演出的《灰色王国的黎明》是一出引人注目、激起群众热烈反响的话剧。中国剧协于十一月八日上午召开关于该剧的座谈会。座谈会由李之华同志主持,参加座谈会的有文艺界、戏剧界及各方面的代表,约六十人。会上,《灰》剧的作者中杰英同志介绍了剧本的创作情况。作者本身是位科技人员,他目睹不少基层单位官僚主义、封建家长制和不正之风盛行,有些不学无术的干部严重地损害了党的威信,于是依据生活,面向现实,发愤而作了这部作品,以表达广大干部和群众清除障碍,为实现四化而斗争的信心和决心。
