Not long ago, we went to Linqu, Yishui and Menyin Counties in Shandong Province to examine poverty alleviation projects financed by the assistance of some international civil organizations and part of the United Nations Development Program. The prominent impression is that these projects, with less investment, short cycle, quick returns and large profits, have effectively promoted the economic development of poor areas and improved people’s living conditions, opening up a new path for poverty alleviation in our country.
