In the early days of the war of resistance against Japan, the Sichuan Provincial Library and Information Science Review Committee established by the Kuomintang government implemented a preliminary review of books and periodicals in Sichuan Province. Due to the defects of the system design, the later review of the council was almost abolished. The provincial government reorganized it as a trial unit for Sichuan and adopted various rectification measures to make the review significantly improved and the clampdown on public opinion more severe. However, the strong resistance of the cultural circles in the province caused the eventual abolition of the department. The evolution of the book review agencies in Sichuan Province has a typical significance in the reorganization of the local censors, which reflects the closedness and laggardness of the public opinion management policies in wartime when the review network of newspapers and magazines is changed from “secret” to “secret” Sex.
