汉朝设立的西域最高行政军事长官。西汉宣帝第二年(公元前68年)派侍郎郑吉屯田渠黎(今新疆尉黎一带),与匈奴争夺东师,使护卫鄯善以西“南道”诸国安全。
The highest administrative military governor of the Western Regions established by the Han Dynasty. In the second year of Xuan Di Western Han Dynasty (68 BC), he sent the assistant minister Zheng Jitun Tian Qu Li (now Wei Li in Xinjiang) to compete with the Huns for the East Division so that the security guard Shanshan West and the “South Road” could be safe.
