1959年11月24日到12月11日,在烏魯木齐举行了新疆维吾尔自治区第二届民族語文科学讨論会,会議討論了維吾尔文字和哈萨克文字的改革問題,并一致通过了以汉語拼音方案为基础的維、哈新文字方案。这个新文字方案已获得新疆維吾尔自治区人民之委员会的批准。維吾尔、哈薩克新文字方案是在总路线的光輝照耀下,在反地方民族主义胜利的基础上制訂的。它是民族語文工作上的一大跃进,是党的民族政策的光輝胜利,是毛泽东思想的胜利。今后,它在促进社会主义建設、加强民族团結,民族文化交流方面将起极其重大的作用。
From November 24, 1959 to December 11, 1959, the second national language science symposium of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was held in Urumqi. The meeting discussed the reform of Uyghur and Kazakh characters, and unanimously approved the Hanyu pinyin program based on Victoria, Kazakhstan new text program. The new text plan has been approved by the people’s committee of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The Uyghur-Kazak new script program was formulated on the basis of the triumph of anti-local nationalism under the brilliant shine of the general line. It is a great leap forward in the national language work, a glorious victory of the party’s national policy and a victory of Mao Zedong Thought. In the future, it will play an extremely important role in promoting socialist construction and strengthening ethnic solidarity and ethnic cultural exchange.
