新编六年制小学语文第十一册第二篇看图学文《老科学家下乡》,是新选的.图画的作者是李宗津,课文是依据沈鹏的图画说明改写的.这篇看图学文讲的是老科学家下乡,向农民作实地调查,进行科学实验,给农村带来科学,带来改变农村面貌的希望.图画是以深秋清晨广阔的北方原野为背景,以老科学家和老农亲切交谈为中心,围绕这个中心,安排了两名老科学家的助手,一名青年农民,还有两名少先队员.在人物周围放有铁锨、背包、土钻、土壤样品袋和科学仪器箱.整个画面背景广阔,重点突出,人物形象栩栩如生,构成了一幅亲切、真实、生动的画面.
