商务英语是在我国对外开放不断深入发展的推动之下由英语学科与商科交叉而产生的一门新兴应用学科。该学科的发展水平和其满足社会对复合型国际商务人才需求的程度深受其学科建设的影响。商务英语的学科建设是否并且如何能够适应社会需要对学科交叉发展的要求,决定了该学科能否变挑战为机遇从而获得跨越式发展。本研究尝试从交叉学科发展,学科身份构建,以及学科战略管理等三个角度来讨论商务英语的学科建设。笔者认为,商务英语的学科交叉性质决定了跳出英语学科的既有模式,为其跨学科发展提供制度与组织支持,是其学科建设的关键;多方面协调构建以及强化商务英语学科身份,并在学科发展战略上做出正确选择是其学科建设的重要内容。
Business English is an emerging application discipline that is produced by the intersection of English and Business under the impetus of the deepening development of China’s opening up. The discipline’s level of development and its degree of satisfaction of society’s demand for complex international business professionals are strongly influenced by its discipline development. Whether or not the disciplinary construction of Business English can adapt to the needs of the society and its requirements for the interdisciplinary development determines whether the discipline can change its challenges to opportunities so as to achieve leapfrog development. This research attempts to discuss the subject construction of business English from three aspects: the development of interdisciplinary subject, the construction of discipline identity and the strategic management of subject. The author thinks that the interdisciplinary nature of business English determines the existing mode of jumping out of English and provides the institutional and organizational support for its interdisciplinary development. It is the key to the discipline construction. In many aspects, it coordinates and constructs and strengthens the business English discipline. Discipline development strategy to make the right choice is an important part of its discipline.
