1982-1987年对晋南棉区的地膜棉花的顶芽、腋芽和花芽分化、出生的相互关系及同伸规律进行了系统观察,形成了以主茎叶龄预测主茎可见叶和叶原基;可见果枝与分化果枝;可见果节与分化花芽数的三个模式.并以其试验示范了三种调控技术方案,以叶龄调控方案效果最佳,株高不过1米,节间均长不超6厘米,株型紧凑,内围高产铃、优质铃增加,产量高,品质好.该技术的核心是以棉株内外器官建成的同步生长规律的叶龄模式为基础,以主茎叶龄为指标,以水肥措施为主攻,辅之以化控,以培育理想株型,塑造合理群体结构,达到优质高产低成本为目的,形成综合栽培体系.
