比卢普斯(W.E.Billups)和迈克尔M.
After the researchers prepared the now famous soccer-like molecules, chemists synthesized another long-sought-after carbon-containing compound called the bow tie. The formal name for this “bow tie” is spiropene. It is composed of 5 carbon atoms and 4 hydrogen atoms. In the past few decades, because of the very high tension of the molecule’s C atom configuration, the compound has dumped theorists and labors. The molecule’s simple structure accumulates too much energy, so chemists can not solve the problem of how to put the molecule together. However, WEBILUPS and Michael M. Haley at the Rice University in Houston accepted the challenge. On June 19 this year, they published the American Chemical Society "Reported on the advent of the molecule.
