“二百五”这个词儿,大家都很熟悉。它是一种戏称,指傻头傻脑,说话离谱,办事莽撞,总出洋相的人。为嘛把这种类型的人称为“三百五”呢?关于“二百五”这个词儿的来源,在民间有多种说法。这在语言学上叫做“多重流俗词源”。《今晚报》今年6月23日副刊刊载刘玉凯《二百五的来历》,提到“二百五”这个词儿的四种流俗词源。可惜,遗漏了与货币有关而流传最广的两种来历。

Unfortunately, two origins of the most widely circulated currency have been omitted.
