The design and manufacture of piston rings is a complex issue. This article presents some more practical and practical principles for engine designers and users about Piston Rings design and manufacturing and describes how to understand this general principle accurately to solve the problems that arise in the development of today’s high-pressure medium-speed diesel engines. The discussion of the practical application of piston rings should first consider the various casting and machining methods that it may use. Different product processing techniques should be carefully developed, because in practice such a complex process, in addition to those most basic characteristics, often easily lead to a lot of confusion and misunderstanding.
