我厂铸工车间在大炉熔铁过程中,铁棉花到处飞扬,严重地影响着工人同志的身体健康。为了这个问题,我们曾经根据“铸工”一九五三年第七期介绍的办法进行了数次试验,但是挡板在熔化中途容易掉落,而且操作上也很麻烦。由于这些缘故,用不了多久就扔下不搞了,结果平日铁棉花依旧到处飞散。今年我厂在开展合理化运动中,炉工孙海晶同志提出消减铁棉花的办法(如图),用罩壳装置在前炉出渣口的上面,最初是用铁皮简单地弯成罩壳形状安上的,经过这样按装后,铁棉就大为减低,甚至已全部消减,经过二个多月来的使用情况很好。
