Cunninghamia lanceolata is an important fast-growing and high-yield timber species in southern China. Since the 1950s, a large number of fir trees have been planted. The area of pure forests has been increasing year by year. The planting area of cunninghamia lanceolata has also rapidly expanded. The productivity of cunninghamia lanceolata plantations and the declining soil fertility have become increasingly serious, attention. At present, the research on the mechanism of the decline of the productivity of Cunninghamia lanceolata plantation and the effective measures to maintain the long-term productivity of plantations are not only the hot topics in the field of forestry.
