西宁组,为一套内陆湖泊相的含盐红色碎屑沉积,广布于西宁一民和之间,总厚度在1000米左右。对其时代,有的作为上新世在西北地区的代表,有的归为中新世,但总因缺乏可靠的古生物资料,一直未得最后解决。近几年来,我队在民和盆地作了一些地质工作,测制了西宁组的地层剖面,采集到较丰富的微体古生物化石。经我队古生物组分析、鉴定,现简单报道如下,并提出我们的初步看法,供参考。轮藻化石组合中,主要分子有:Maedlerisphaera chinelqsis Huang et xu(中
The Xining Formation is a set of saline-red clastic deposits of inland lake facies, widely distributed between Xining and Yiminhe, with a total thickness of about 1,000 meters. For its time, some as the representatives of the Pliocene in the northwestern region, and some classified as Miocene, but the total lack of reliable paleontological data, has not yet been finally resolved. In recent years, our team made some geological work in the Minhe Basin, and measured the stratigraphic profile of the Xining Formation and collected abundant microfossils of paleontological fossils. By our paleontology group analysis, identification, are now simply reported as follows, and put forward our initial views for reference. Chara fossil assemblage, the main molecules are: Maedlerisphaera chinelqsis Huang et xu (in
