艾丽斯·沃克美国当代著名的黑人女性作家,对当代美国文学影响深远。凭借《紫色》这部书信体的长篇小说荣获美国文学界的普利策小说奖和美国图书奖。该小说后被改编为同名电影,获奥斯卡11项提名奖,这些给艾丽斯.沃克带来了世界荣誉,也让她成为评论家关注的焦点。国内外的评论主要从妇女主义,象征主义,叙事等角度进行研究,得出了不同的结论。本文运用弗洛伊德精神分析学中“防御机制”的理论来解析和阐释西丽的内心世界。
