新编《苏联共产党历史》俄文本已在我国发行,中文译本正在翻译中,不久也将出版。根据一九五六年苏共第二十次代表大会决定,成立了由苏共中央委员科学院通讯院士波诺马辽夫领导的和有关单位科学研究工作者参加的编委会,历时二年多编成了这本新党史。新编《苏联共产党历史》从一八八三年叙述到一九五九年,重点是十月革命后的四十年,这一时期共占全书篇幅的三分之二。全书共分十八章,前有序言,后有结束语,每章有小结。译成中文后估计约有六十多万字。
