复合材料被用于航空构件已经很多年,并作为一种经济有效的结构组件为其它工业所接受。最近,一种被称为“钟表发条”的连续玻璃纤维复合材料已经成为通用商品,用于取代钢套管增强和修理尚未穿孔的管道缺陷。
Composites have been used in aeronautical components for many years and are accepted by other industries as a cost-effective structural component. Recently, a continuous fiberglass composite known as “clockwork” has become a common commodity that is used to replace steel sleeves to reinforce and repair imperfections in pipes that have not been perforated.
