女性绘画真正意义上得到改善是从20世纪初期开始,女性绘画以一批留日的女性画家为代表,丘堤、程露霞、关紫兰等,这一时期的作品主要是一群留学国外的女性,在学习西方绘画技法之后所绘制的作品,没有过多地反映出女性的创作意识。1995年世界妇女大会在京召开,使得中国女性的地位和价值得到了最大限度地提升,女性意识开始真正的觉醒了。女性艺术家以独有的视角,细腻的情感,和个性的创作理念表达着自己对生活的理解。创作模式的多样化,作品媒介的合理利用,以及艺术思想的革新都使得中国的女性艺术得到空前的发展。
In the true sense of the 20th century, women’s paintings have been represented by a group of female painters who stayed in Japan. Among them, Qiu Di, Cheng Luxia, Guan Zi Lan, etc. The works of this period mainly consisted of a group of women studying abroad. Western painting techniques drawn after the works did not reflect too much female creative consciousness. The convening of the 1995 World Conference on Women in Beijing brought the status and value of Chinese women to the maximum, and the awareness of women began to truly awaken. Female artists express their own understanding of life with unique perspectives, exquisite emotions, and individual creative ideas. The diversification of the mode of creation, the rational utilization of the media of works, and the innovation of the artistic ideas have all made the Chinese women’s art get an unprecedented development.
