随着我国经济的迅猛发展,我国的高等教育也得到了相应的发展。中外高校的交流和合作变得越来越普遍。出于对外宣传的需要,中国许多高校制作了相应的英文网页。其主要的阅读群为国外学者、留学生以及其他有意与中国高校进行交流和合作的各界人士。译文质量的高低直接影响着学校的自身形象和宣传效果。但是,由于种种原因,大部分高校的学校概况部分英译质量却不尽人意,这将给各高校带来诸多潜在的负面影响。
With the rapid economic development in our country, higher education in our country has also been developed accordingly. The exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign universities have become more and more common. Due to the need of publicity, many Chinese universities have produced corresponding English web pages. Its main reading group for foreign scholars, students and other interested parties with Chinese universities to exchange and cooperation. The quality of the translation directly affects the school’s own image and publicity. However, due to various reasons, the quality of English translation in most colleges and universities’ profiles is not satisfactory, which will bring a lot of potential negative impacts to colleges and universities.
