英语作为高职教育体系中的一门必修的公共基础课,以培养学生实际应用英语的能力为目标,但英语教学现状偏离了高职教育的培养目标,对高职英语教学的改革迫在眉睫。ESP理论是要培养学生在所学专业领域的英语运用能力,与高职英语的教学目标一致。引入此理论从教材选择、教学方法、师资配备、考核方式等方面对英语课程进行改革,把英语教学与学生就业、继续发展相结合,是适应社会发展需要的必然趋势。
As a compulsory public basic course in higher vocational education system, English aims to cultivate students’ ability to actually use English. However, the current situation of English teaching deviates from the training goal of higher vocational education and the reform of English teaching in higher vocational education is imminent. ESP theory is to cultivate students’ ability to use English in the field of study, which is in line with the teaching goal of higher vocational English. The introduction of this theory from the teaching material selection, teaching methods, teaching staffing, assessment methods and other aspects of the English curriculum reform, English teaching and student employment, continuous development, is an inevitable trend to adapt to the needs of social development.
