Objective: To investigate the value of sequential sequential ultrasound in the screening of fetal limb deformities in early pregnancy. Methods: A total of 3 798 pregnant women with fetal limb deformity screening during the first trimester were selected from October 2011 to December 2013 in our hospital. The patients were followed up for consecutive sequential ultrasound examinations. The outcome of fetus birth or abortion was observed and analyzed continuously The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of ultrasound in the screening of fetal limb deformity in early pregnancy were tracked sequentially, and the consistency between sequential ultrasound examination and fetal birth or induced labor was analyzed. Results: The sensitivity of sequential sequential ultrasound was 94.28%, the specificity was 99.95%, and the accuracy was 99.89% in screening fetal limb deformity in early pregnancy. Sequential follow-up sonographic results were highly consistent with fetal birth or abortion (Kappa = 0.002, P = 0.808). CONCLUSION: Sequential sequential ultrasound is an effective method to screen fetal limb deformity in early pregnancy. It has the characteristics of high sensitivity, high specificity and high accuracy, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
