泡桐是我县广大群众喜爱栽植的一种速生用材树种。解放后,特别是文化大革命以来,在毛主席无产阶级革命路线指引下,我县泡桐有了很大发展。现在,全县泡桐农田林网面积已达28万亩,加上“四旁”栽植的泡桐,总计约有1,100万株。在生产实践中,褚河公社的阁街、余王大队林场及郭连公社的张涧大队等单位,利用小根培育出干高5米以上、地径6-8厘米,当年出圃率在70%以上的高干壮苗,为泡桐育苗提供了新的经验。现将其主要技术措施,简要介绍如下:
