May 16, 2004, the National Men’s Wushu Sanda Championship team competition in Fujian Province Sports Center successfully concluded. Chen Guorong, director of Sanda Department of China Martial Arts Sports Management Center, laments that the biggest characteristic of this competition is the large scale, the number of appearances and the large number of people. This competition is the highest level martial arts Sanda competition in the country, with 47 teams from all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions enrolled.
