1979年,新疆社会科学院考古所的一支考察队在罗布泊湖以东约七十公里的古墓沟,发掘了四十二座古代墓葬。这些古墓的外形很特别,其中有六座在地表有比较规整的圆圈状排列的木桩,由内向外共组成七层圆圈,墓穴便在圆圈的中间,在最外层木桩圆圈外,还有向四方成放射状排列的木桩,居高临下远远看去,很象是放射光芒的太阳图,甚为壮观(图1)。其余三十六座墓的外表结构比较简单,只在墓室的东西两端各有一根立木露出地表,没有环形木桩。有趣的是根据考古发掘资料,这后一种结构简单的墓有的被叠
In 1979, an expedition team of archeological institute of Xinjiang Academy of Social Sciences unearthed 42 ancient tombs in an ancient tomb trench about 70 km east of Lop Nur Lake. These tombs are very special shape, of which there are six on the surface of a more structured circle-shaped stakes, from the inside out a total of seven circles, the grave in the middle of the circle, outside the outermost stake stakes, There are also stakes scattered radially into the quarters, looking down from the top, much like the sun’s rays radiating light, which is spectacular (Figure 1).
