1930年马斯河谷烟雾事件rn比利时马斯河谷工业区.在这个狭窄的河谷里有炼油厂、金属厂、玻璃厂等许多工厂.12月1日到5日的几天里,河谷上空出现了很强的逆温层,致使13个大烟囱排出的烟尘无法扩散,大量有害气体积累在近地大气层,对人体造成严重伤害.一周内有60多人丧生,其中心脏病、肺病患者死亡率最高,许多性畜死亡.这是本世纪最早记录的公害事件.
