On June 30, 1990, we interviewed Professor Wang Zikun of Beijing Normal University as an attempt to study oral history of mathematics. Professor Wang Zikun warmly received us and answered various questions. We are deeply grateful for his frank cooperation. Visitors (hereinafter referred to as “Q”): Professor Wang, you are engaged in probability theory, wrote a lot of books and monographs, such as “Stochastic Process Theory” (1965), “Probability Theory and its Application” (1976) “Birth and Death Process and Markov Chain” (1980), “Brown Movement and the situation” (1983) and so on. However, there are two other pamphlets that have a greater impact on youth. They are “scientific developments.”
