曾少炎担任四川兴文县关工委常务副主任至今已有8年多时间。关工委的工作实践,使曾少炎认识到,只有健全了组织,壮大了“五老”队伍,关心下一代工作才能顺利开展。为此,2010年在县委、县政府的关心下,县关工委争取到三间办公室,配备了专职工作人员,解决了多年来关工委班子不健全的难题。8年多来,曾少炎积极利用下乡调研之机,督促基层关工委组织建立健全领导班子,发展“五老”队伍,到目前,全县关工委组织已达200多个,“五老”队伍由20余人壮大到7500余人,使全县关心下一代工作广泛开展。
