[European Nuclear Society’s “Nuclear News Network” reported on March 24, 2000] The United States Calvert’s overhanging nuclear power plant obtained the country’s first 20-year license extension from nuclear management. The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the constellation Energy Group (CEG) subsidiary Baltimore after examining the safety and operational-related environmental issues and holding more than 30 public hearings during the subsequent review process.
