天水是人文始祖伏羲、女娲的故乡,也是丝绸古道上的重镇,历史悠久。经过长期的开发建设,现在已成为一个新兴的工业城市。 “一五”后,经过产业结构调整和新的布局充实,已逐渐形成了以机械制造、工业电器、机床电器、集成电路等行业为主导的机光电一体化的发展格局,成为共和国著名的五大电器工业基地之一。其它行业也是竞相发展,各领风骚。
