Academician Lysenko’s “Agricultural Biology” is a very important book, and is the most important classic in Michurin’s biological literature. In the Soviet Union, it plays an extremely great guiding role both in theory and practice in agriculture, past and present. As the preface to the publication of the translation of the new edition of the book states: “After the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 1, 1949, due to Chairman Mao’s scientific thinking and the theory and practice of agricultural biological sciences selected by the Soviet Union, Aroused the attention and study of agricultural bioscience community in our country; .... ”The publication of Chinese version is very important for the research and teaching of biological science in our country
