Currently, the dramatic decline in DNA sequencing costs has made sequencing of individual genomes a reality. Recently, the University of Utah scientist Yandell and his colleagues developed a software called VAAST that can quickly and accurately analyze and test human pathogenic genes to help find cancer and early childhood diseases.
